Hiking Route Description:
Limantour Beach to Pt Resistance and back.
Hike Description:
Join North Bay Hikes for this special outing, hike leader is Nick Kishmirian. Note that the start time is 6:30 am due to the tide.This out and back beach hike goes from Limantour Beach to Sculptured Beach, Secret Beach and to Pt. Resistance. We're taking advantage of a minus .8 ft tide which will expose the beautiful rock formations of Sculptured Beach, including arches and caves. Getting to the good part of Sculptured Beach and Secret Beach requires a scramble down/up a 10' cliff. See these photos to get a good idea what to expect:

This hike should be over by 11:00 so you will have time to do your afternoon thing.
OPTION: Hang out at Limantour Beach for a picnic lunch.
Restrooms are available at the start at Limantour Beach. Wear removable layers, as it may be cold on the beach. You may want to bring an extra pair of shoes and socks as your feet may get wet at Sculptured Beach or you can just walk back on the sand bare foot. That being said you may want to bring a plastic bag for wet socks and shoes and a small towel to dry your little piggies. A hiking pole may also come in handy for the seaweed sections if you want the maximum experience at Sculptured Beach.
Please bring plenty of water, and a snack. OPTION: Hang out at Limantour Beach for a picnic lunch.
