Hike Description:
We lead hikes on the mountain that focus on the flora, ecology, and history of this important open space just south of San Francisco. The hikes utilizes small trails in the canyons behind Brisbane. They are sometimes steep, but the pace is easy. Identified of one of a couple dozen biodiversity hot-spots on the planet, San Bruno Mountain is home to 3 endangered butterflies along with several rare or endangered plants, and is the last intact remnant of the Franciscan ecosystem that once covered much of the North Peninsula. The summit and ridgeline have spectacular views of the surrounding area.Recommended Clothing:
