California Hiking
Little Bit About Hiking In California
The state is very big and you can find just about any kind of mild or hot climate hiking terrain. Sorry, there is no tundra here, but there is just about everything else. The northern part of the state has many national forests, many of which with Redwood trees that only grow in California and nowhere else in the world. There are also many opportunities to hike along the ocean and take in some beautiful ocean vistas. The state has many great hills and mountains that many people love to climb or simply camp near those mountains as there are beautiful lakes and forests surrounding them. More inland there are desert areas which are a complete opposite from the often lush forests that can be found throughout California.
